A BIRTHING

Here are some shots of a painting very early in the process, blocking in shapes, correcting, rubbing back etc. My ideas are quite vague going into a painting, no hard plans just letting the whole thing kinda form. I find the ghost images that under paintings and changed ideas leave in place ( i beleive this is called pentimento ) very inspiring and important to the final image even if hardly there!
