Thursday Wrap Up

It's not yet the weekend and yet the traffic of people seen today rivalled any Saturday that we've ever attended. The IDW signing that took place today lasted for four and a half hours, as previously mentioned it was only ended by books selling out. At times the line extended from the IDW booth all the way down the aisle to the Top Cow booth.

So far Ash has spent most of his time signing, meeting and greeting but somewhere in there he has also managed to see some old friends and make some new ones. A highlight of Ash's day today was catching up with the legendary Neal Adams, (always a pleasure to see and talk to) and he also caught up with Steve Niles...

As many of you know Ash and Steve have worked together on and off since their McFarlane days and have kept up with each other over the years and now are planning to launch an exciting new project together. We are pleased to announce that Steve and Ash will be producing a new ongoing series in the new year entitled The Mystery Society and it's going to be a lot of fun. We will announce more details as they become available.

Bertie is also proving to be a hit at the convention with many people asking when he will be available. The closest answer we can give you, at this time, is that the plan is to get the figure out there by Christmas i.e sometime in December, again, as more details emerge we will post them here.

I would personally like to thank the "Mythology lady", as she has become known, for the wonderful comments she made about my work on the Lore series. I'm sorry I wasn't there to meet you myself and to all of the Lore fans who have stopped by. I am pleased to announce that I am working on a new full length novel to be published by IDW sometime in 2008. Watch this space.

We have so many exciting announcements to make over the next month or two that this blog is going to read like a newspaper, Ash and I also have a super exciting personal event coming up which we will announce at a more appropriate date also.

More tomorrow - and photos - when we get the wi fi nonsense sorted out again.
